Sole....salt for your health!

What is Sole?
Sole = A fully saturated solution of water and Himalayan Crystal Salt

Sole (pronounced Solay) is essentially water that has been fully saturated with a natural salt. This isn’t just a small amount of salt dissolved in water, but rather water that has absorbed as much natural salt as it is able and will not absorb any more (26% actually…. thanks high school chemistry). The term Sole comes from the Latin “Sol” meaning Sun.

I make my own Sole by re-purposing an amber glass jar with a plastic lid (it's important to use glass and plastic, no metal lids. I use my empty Amazing Grass jar).  I also only buy my Himalayan Crystal Salt from American Blue Green as recommended by Green Smoothie Girl and I use only Fiji artesian water.  Here is the full recipe for making your own Sole.  Here is Wellness Mama's recipe.

Some of the benefits of Sole include:

  • Sole can supply the body with the combined energy of 84 essential ionized minerals
  • Sole can harmonize the alkaline/acidity balance in the body and normalize blood pressure
  • Sole can dissolve and eliminate sediments which lead to stones and various forms of rheumatism like arthritis and kidney and gall bladder stones
  • Sole can lower the craving for addictive desires
  • Sole is an excellent product for balancing the pH factor of your body.
  • Sole can help rid the body of heavy metals such as lead, mercury, arsenic, amalgam and calcium
  • Sole can help with skin diseases by cleaning from inside out
  • Sole is helpful in absorption of food particles through the intestinal tract
  • Sole is helpful for sleep regulation
  • Sole is a strong natural antihistamine therefore helping allergies
  • Sole is vital to the communication and information processing between nerve cells
  • Sole helps in clearing up congestion of the sinuses

I would recommend the book Water & Salt by Dr. Barbara Hendel and Peter Ferreira as a great reference for reading about the importance of these natural elements in our daily diet.
